OUR HISTORY

In 1904, Aaron Brown founded Phi Delta Epsilon at Cornell University Medical College. At the time, Jewish students were still excluded from opportunities, so Aaron brown and eight of his friends started a fraternity which would pave the way to inclusion for all. After the success fo the first chapter, more chapters were created and, in 1918, Phi Delta Epsilon was amalgamated with Alpha Phi Sigma, a fraternity which began in 1908 with similar principles. In the 1960s, women were first initiated into the fraternity, in the 1970s, Phi Delta Epsilon expanded outside of North America, and in 1993, premedical chapters, like our own, were added. 
Ohio Eta was founded in 2012 as a colony of Ohio Zeta by Lexi Spaw.
